Covid-19 Mask

Summery

When covid-19 first hit, I was tasked at Spyder3D to assist and mentor a group of high school students in creating a 3D printable covid-19 mask.

I worked closely  and collaborated with the high school students, teaching and assistant with the 3D modeling processes.

Design Goals/Restrictions

  • Easily 3D printable NO SUPPORTS
    • Restricted model angles to  a max of a 65 degree overhang.
  • Even thickness along the whole mask. (No Infill)
    • Increase speed
    • Decrees material waste & cost
  • ***Comfortable***
    • the mask has to conforms, lay comfortable and the a face, and create an air tight seal without causing discomfort or presser. 
  • Replaceable filters 
  • Washable & Reusable
    • Made of a non toxic  plastic
